Well here we are again, another lockdown. I know I shouldn't moan as there is such a bigger more impacting picture but.....fed up! That is definitely the vibe here but Hey! its a New Year and lets fast forward through these next couple of months and hopefully a brighter Spring is on the cards!

The Christmas decorations are all down and packed away and a part of me always feels fresher and brighter knowing a new year has begun.

So goodbye 2020 adios and lets put all our efforts into appreciating what we have here now in 2021!!!

Whats in store for 2021...

A New Year is ahead and things have already kicked off here at Rock + Wild the weekly special has certainly proved popular already. The perfect thank you gifts for all the festive appreciation and the perfect way to bring a bit of colour to our now less sparkly homes.

Spring flowers have begun to poke their little heads up and I can't help but notice the masses of Daffodils sprouting up already, especially on the early morning drive to the flower market!

Wedding enquiries have kicked back off and we have seen so many Brides and Grooms preparing for 2022 which I can't blame them. Hopefully we will see a summer of weddings this year but totally understand everyones predicament!

So any Brides thinking they have lots of time on their side I would totally recommend getting your dates booked in for 2022 now!

Think that will be the year of weddings....love, love, love!

Although do not fear if you haven't prepared for your wedding this year just get in contact, as many wedding services and suppliers will no doubt have an ever changing calendar this year!

Valentines Day is coming!...

Drum roll please as you should all know whats coming up next in the floristry diary next month....

Valentines Day!

Yep the 14th February will be here before we know it and it falls on a Sunday! So all you loved up lovelies get prepared, think we need LOVE more than anything at the moment and little gestures will be appreciated more than ever! So lets spread the LOVE!!!

I'll get my noggin ticking over this month and get the inspiration for some romantic floral delights. From a simple elegant Rose design to the explosion of seasonal flowers to get the heart pumping.

Any florist will tell you...Roses....mmm....we do love you Roses but at Valentines the price of you is so crazy!

So my advice for half the price of a dozen Roses you can get the most stunning mixed bunch of beautiful flowers you will have ever seen, that will knock their socks off or more!

So ladies, fellas, people of Wiltshire lets ignore the traditions of Roses and let an explosion of flowers happen this Valentines. We're talking Tulips, Freesia, Lilys, Hyacinths, Alstromeria, Lisianthus and so so much more......TRUST ME!!!

If you don't, don't worry I'll still cater for you old romantics with the biggest headed Roses you'll ever see!

Love to you all and stay safe my lovelies!

Well we are definitely in the thick of it now, the countdown to Christmas is on!

My hands are torn to shreds by the Christmas foliages with berries galore on the Holly and sky high Spruce to be trimmed.

We've made so many gorgeous wreaths it brings me so much joy to see them decorate the doors of Trowbridge and further afield. There has been no clear winner on the styles they have all been just as popular. If I had to choose the Cracker wreath gets the vote form me!

Next week will most certainly see the popularity of the table arrangements and festive jam jars go up. Festive jam jars are the perfect gift to send some festive cheer to someone who needs a bit of Christmas love. All perfectly presented so no faffing and also make the most excellent table centre to add some natural glam to your Christmas table. One customer has ordered several to go on their dining table for the big day, such a great idea!

I'll get creating some more table centre designs next week to suit all budgets and styles because why can't everyone have some abundance of Christmas glamour this year, think we all need it!

Nothing beats the glow of candlelight and smell of Spruce in the warmth of your home!

Make your own Wreath kits...

Had the new experience of creating the online step by step guide for our DIY Wreath kits this month, that was fun but oh my it was bizarre!

It has proved successful as I have seen some amazing results from our lovely customers, felt like a proud Mumma!!!

These kits are available until the 23rd December so if tickles your fancy give it a go, you won't be disappointed and you'll get that great feeling of achievement.

If you follow us online you'll know we have our workshop studio in construction which I am so ecstatic about and can't wait to get in it and make it our floral emporium! Hopefully this time next year we will be able to offer wreath making classes in the studio, oooooh I can picture it already, mulled wine and Holly!!!!

Christmas Wedding...

Had the pleasure this week of creating a gorgeous artificial wedding bouquet for a Bride who is also a lifelong friend. Knowing weddings have there limitations this year the Bride wanted a bouquet that she could use next Summer for a big celebration party.

She chose wisely on her colours and went for a scarlet red, Ivory, yellow and green colour scheme, perfect for a Christmas wedding but will also work well through to early Summer! It was jam packed full of Roses, Daffodils, Spray Roses and mixed Eucalyptus and Berries which really gave it the texture and look of fresh flowers. Honestly you'd have to get your magnifying glass out to see they are artificial, the selections now are spectacular!

I'm such fan of artificial I had them myself for my wedding, knowing we were travelling to Las Vegas I wanted to know exactly what I was getting, so if that meant doing them myself, so be it! Now they sit perfectly framed on my wall and I cherish them forever.

Right the Holly and Spruce are calling me, best not leave them waiting especially that Holly, gah my hands!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Writing this blog is most definitely a welcomed distraction and I hope it brings a little relief and excitement to you, as this month we're talking CHRISTMAS!

Admittedly I am sad that one of my favourite seasons is over, Halloween but I am overwhelmed at how amazingly the collection was received by you all. Getting creative with all that vibrant flower and pumpkin lushness was fun, so thanks again guys for all your support and feedback. It really does make my day so much brighter!!!

Right I say bring on Christmas early this year as we are all set for a quiet November, why not put all our efforts into an incredible end to this bizzarre 2020.

I'm happy to say we can remain open and running providing our fresh flower deliveries in a safe way. We are lucky to have a wholesaler who goes to all efforts to provide fresh and varied stock each and every week. I know it's not the case for many friends and businesses and this month will provide hardships for some and my real heartfelt love goes to you guys.

If there is anyway I can help please do let me know, you know where I am!

Christmas...

So let's get on with it and bring it on, Christmas!!!

Hey, some of us will have lots more free time snuggled up in the warm out of the brisk air this month, so that got me thinking DIY wreath kits, yes, yes, yes.

The end of this week I will be working on our Christmas Collection and number one on my list was make your own wreath kits but don't worry you can make it as easy or as hard as you like. The joys of getting down and creative means you can go with your own flow. Along with these DIY kits which will be filled with everything you need, you'll just have to have your own scissors (secateurs will certainly help too) there will be a step by step video showing you exactly what you need to do. Good thing with video you can pause and rewind as many times as you like, no one will mind! Plus this new knowledge can be brought out each and every year, BONUS.

For those of you who don't have the time or like the expert hand we will have plenty of gorgeous wreaths ready to go and made to order!

The Christmas Collection will have plenty of designs to choose from, the traditional tones of reds, greens and golds to the rustic look of cones, oranges, limes, cinnamon and more.

Of course it wouldn't be a Rock + Wild Collection if there wasn't a mash up of all the colours and textures. This one will be the choice for you folks who want people to be wowed by you front door this year!

Along with wreaths there will also be door swags for people who have a sway to the more minimal design or people who just have a little less space.

Table centres to instantly dress up you're Christmas dining spread with candles and more.

Festive Jam Jars and bouquets which will make anyones day this December!!!

Gah writing all this has got me excited, right I'm off to get my Christmas buzz on.

Keep your eyes peeled......THE CHRISTMAS COLLECTION IS COMING.

Stay safe everyone,

Kerry xx
