I'm currently sat outside the studio drinking a good cup of Joe watching the new girls (the rescue Hens for all those who don't follow us!), basking in the sunshine, boys napping and quite frankly I don't want to move. Think I may have found my heaven!

This last month has been a GOOD month, I think not only in my flower world but personally having the new Chicks in the garden has really brought a soul to the studio and along with opening up to you lovely lot from flower collections and wedding appointments there's a new buzz and I love it!!!

This last week has had me on my toes or should I say fingers with all you wedding flower messaging and I'm so excited to now be able to welcome you to the studio for face to face consultations (such a formal word, basically a chin wag about the one subject I could waffle on about for a long time, Weddings!!!!)

Here we go then, Weddings...

It's really interesting this year as all Wedding enquiries I've had everyone is different.

Often most years you'll see a trend and it follows pretty bang on!...but no...this year Brides and Grooms are rocking their own style and tastes and I'm feeling it.

Certainly keeps me on my game!

Weddings are still pretty intimate and petite, often just Bridal flowers, Buttonholes, etc. Which I understand we're still not quite there for the big shindigs yet but won't be long.

Can see a shift in direction already for 2022, so lets see what happens :)

Talking of small Weddings don't be put off getting flowers, they really do make such a huge difference on your Wedding Day! Remaining timeless in your photos for years to come.

So get in touch as I can always make room and time for creating gorgeous bouquets, leave that to me!

Believe it or not...

By the way last month I reached my first whole year as Rock + Wild Florist, May the 13th 2020 after a few too many bubbles on mine and my Hubby's Wedding Anniversary, Beau (the Hubby) sparked the idea of going out on my own and so we sat there creating my logo that very day!

It had been a rough start that day, I received my redundancy letter through the post that morning and I was gutted, I loved my job and the thought of not going back after my maternity leave left me feeling pretty devastated. I know there was definitely more horrendous things happening during the pandemic so I knew I had to buckle up and get focused!

So thats where Rock + Wild Florist' story begins......

.......and well you know the rest!!!!

I will always remain ever so grateful to all of you who have supported me from buying a bunch of flowers, to letting me get creative with your Wedding flowers and trusting me with your flower tributes for loved ones.

Every flower I touch gets the same love and attention each time and I thank you lovely lot for letting me do what I love!

Thank you! I mean that!

Oh by the way keep an eye out for the WEEKLY SPECIALS this month, the flower market is in full seasonal swing and the flower prices are pretty good!!!

Love, Kerry

WOW (I realise I use that word a lot!)

What a crazy, wonderful couple of months it has been. My very first Mother's Day as Rock + Wild and I couldn't have been happier with how it went.

I feel like I was in a magical bubble surrounded with amazing flower and working in my fresh studio was the best feeling ever!!!

Still gob smacked that I had sold out by Tuesday on the Mother's Day week but it was good to know my maximum order numbers, knowing that I can give the perfect amount of attention and love to each and every bouquet, ensuring they were top notch!

So a big mahoosive thank you to everyone who supported me this Mother's Day it's the biggest event in the floristry calendar and I couldn't of done it without you guys. Also lets face it we got to treat our Mum's like the Superstars they are, they are amazing in all they do! My poor Mumma spent Mother's Day being a delivery driver for me, alongside my Dad and Hubby. Without them all I would of been in big trouble. So if your reading this Mum, Dad and Beau you are my shining stars and I love you!

Spring flower is here...

I'm a huge fan of Spring flowers, who isn't?

  • Tulips

  • Iris

  • Hyacinths

  • Anemones

  • Ranunculus

  • Hellebores

The list goes on!

I find Spring flower is the most fragrant flower, all those soft, pretty perfumes just make bouquets 10 x more delicious!

Did you know Spring flowers are often soft stemmed so don't like being crushed into oasis so are always best in water and in mass they are just amazing and lets face it they will do there own thing anyway.

Here at Rock + Wild we've been busy using Spring flowers in our weekly specials too, always choosing the best seasonal flower of the week. Which leads me to our new subscription service (smoothly done there i know!)

Monthly flowers...

On our web shop you are now able to order our weekly special on a monthly basis, choosing either 3 ,6 or 12 month options. Meaning you will get a lush bunch of seasonal flowers every month and the bonus is it's FREE DELIVERY in the local area.

So you can sit back and enjoy those monthly flower fixes. Perfect if you love to have flowers in the house or wanting to send some flowery love as a gift that keeps on giving and only £20 a month! WHAT!

The idea came along when a few customers had requested flowers on a regular basis and they didn't want to faff with calling on each occasion, so BOOM!

Our wonderful web shop already had this monthly subscription option there and means all payments are stored and processed securely. Sometimes you just need a nudge in the right direction hey!

This idea has been perfect for gifting as well. I've made many a wonderful delivery to care homes, work places sending love to those who you can't often see.

Right signing off for now, these flowers won't deliver themselves,

where's Mum when you need her ;-)

Take care folks!

Love Kerry xx

Yes, thats the soundtrack of The Lion King now stuck in your head. Best film ever! Except Mufasa dying, gah gets me every time waaaaaaaa.

Right its February folks, the most romantic day of the year is coming!

YEP Valentines Day!!!!

Believe it or not its a week Sunday and it's coming round quickly, except January gah the slowest month seems to drag forever but we muddled through.

Thanks for keeping me busy during January, done sooooo many doorstep deliveries, it seems to be my only human contact at the moment, although no contact actually happens, don't worry only greetings and smiles!

Valentines Day...

This year Valentines Day falls on Sunday, so we will be delivering all weekend. You never know you may well meet my Mum, Dad or Bro as i have certainly rallied the troops in to help with getting all those romantic bouquets to the love birds out there.

I will be well and truly surrounded by gorgeous flowers in the studio.....STUDIO!

I know.....finally my first time working in my very own studio and what a time to get acquainted with it. The poor Hubby has been working on it every spare moment he gets and finally I will be able to step foot inside! This will be my very first Valentines working for myself at Rock + Wild and I am so excited and a little nervous, I won't lie! Although in my 15 years as a florist I have only missed one Valentines and with valid reason, as last year I had the joy of being on maternity leave with my then tiny but still scrummy boy, Rex!!!

The Collection...

I don't know if you have had a chance to have a look at the Valentines Collection yet but there are some beauts on there!

From the classic Devine Dozen featuring the stunning Freedom Roses accompanied with mixed foliages and added texture using scented Waxflower or abundant Gypsophilia.

Also available in a mini version featuring the Sweet Six Rose design.

For the folks wanting to step away from tradition we have a huge collection of different colour palettes to choose from. From Merry Mauve, Romantic Rosie to Carnival of Colour and more, we got all colour ways covered. My personal favourite is the Ultimate Luxury Vase if you feel like sending a showstopper, never to be forgotten!

If your feeling a little more coy, the Cutie Pie is right up your street an adorable jam jar filled with mixed flowers and the token romantic Red Rose......so sweet!

Galentines Day...

Also lets not forget our girlfriends on Galentines Day, so check out Galentines Girl the ultimate girly bunch to send some love to your gal pals this Saturday 13th February.

Right! No time to dilly dally, bows need to be made, paper needs to be cut, flowers need to be ordered, let the preparation begin!

Sending loads of love,

Happy Valentines

Kerry xx
